| CAR-REDUCED LIVING IN AN EXISTING RESIDENTIAL AREA IN HALL (SAALE), GERMANY Since 1998 Halle (Saale), supported by the German Federal Environmental Agency, has been carrying out the pilot project “Autoarmes Wohnen im Bestand am Johannesplatz” (car-reduced living in an existing residential area at Johannesplatz). A practical concept for car-reduced living was developed for the existing inner-city residential area at Johannesplatz.
