Advancing community-based hydropower in the global south
The Hydro Empowerment Network (HPNET) aims to catalyze practitioners of small-scale (<1MW) hydropower for the advancement and advocacy of resilient hydropower, towards equitable and sustainable development of rural communities in the global south.
The network’s goals are to provide an effective south-south knowledge exchange platform for technology development and innovation for robust implementation, and to transform knowledge exchange into action by building the capacities of local change agents.
HPNET members are a diverse set of international, national, and local actors committed to collectively promoting and advancing pico, micro, and mini hydro. Members contribute to and benefit from HPNET’s working groups, forums, and knowledge resources.
