Second National Meeting of the RedBioCOL in Meta, Colombia
RedBioCOL will hold its second annual network meeting from 27th September until 1st October 2016 in Villavicencio, Meta, Colombia – a region where different activities and projects have been carried out by member organisations and communities. The WISIONS team will participate in this event.
This time, member associations and organisations of the RedBioCOL network from 12 Colombian Departamentos will attend the event to showcase their work, discuss challenges and ensure maintenance and sustainability of their projects.
The interested public (groups and individuals with academic background, rural communities or local indigenous population) is welcome to participate in the event as well, strengthening overall diversity and exchange.
From 27th to 29th September there will be internal sessions and discussions among network members, focusing on RedBioCOL’s current SEPS project and other aspects.
On 30th September, a forum on agriecological production in the tropics will be held at Universidad de los Llanos in Villavicencio, while on 1st October there will be several learning-by-doing activities offered by the Asociación de Mercados Campesinos del Meta, where local farmers will share and demonstrate their experiences.
