SEPS Call 1/2015 – Micro Hydro Power in Southern and South East Asia

Our first SEPS call in 2015 will focus on micro hydro power (P/MHP) technologies in the region of Southern Asia and South East Asia. This call is linked to the activities of the Hydro Empowerment Network, which is supported by the WISIONS initiative. Applications from both non-members as well as members of the network are welcome.

We are looking for projects that aim to implement, standardise or disseminate innovative and sustainable pico or micro hydro power (P/MHP) solutions to meet local energy needs. Background on hydro power issues and project examples can be found under Micro Hydro Power in our Technology Radar. Between 3 and 6 technical projects will be selected for support via a thorough validation procedure.

As in the last three calls, in addition to supporting technical project implementation, SEPS also supports knowledge exchanges within the target region that address the capacity-building of actors and organisations in the sustainable pico or micro hydro power sector.

The deadline for the submission of applications is April 8 2015, 16:00 GMT.
