Meet the WISIONS Team at the First International Conference on Energy Research and Social Science
The WISIONS team will participate in the First International Conference on Energy Research and Social Science, which takes place from 2 – 5 April 2017 in Sitges, Spain.
The event aims to examine the relationship between energy systems and society. It will cover a range of topics revolving around the intersection of energy technologies, fuels and resources with social processes and influences – including communities of energy users, people affected by energy production, social institutions, customs, traditions, behaviours and policies.
Our team will present a study entitled “Localising the Water-Energy-Food Nexus: How are Local Level Sustainable Energy Projects Linked to Water and Food Issues in the Global South?”
We conducted a systematic analysis of the linkages between selected SEPS projects and the food and water aspects of development. The analysis is based on the empirical data from process and impact evaluations as well as secondary data (e.g. project documentation and field visits) and relevant literature.
More information on the conference is available here.
