Micro Hydro Experts from South and Southeast Asia met in Bandung, Indonesia

The second annual gathering of the Hydro Empowerment Network of South / Southeast Asia (HPNet) took place from 2nd – 6th February 2015 at TEDC in Bandung, Indonesia.

More than 30 participants representing various segments in the community hydro sector from 12 countries attended the gathering. The event addressed key areas that would support the development of the micro and pico hydro sector in the region. The objectives of this year’s gathering were to offer members a space for networking and knowledge sharing with each other in person, to reflect on what had been achieved, to formulate future objectives and to discuss how the network could be strengthened in the future. The participants also had the opportunity to visit projects and manufacturers to share the experiences of the Indonesian hydropower sector.

The event was hosted by AHB & AP Entec, coordinated by the organisational team of the HPNet and supported by the WISIONS initiative. A summarizing report will be published on the networks webpage soon.
