New SEPS Call 2017 for Projects and Exchange Activities

The first SEPS call of 2017 is open! Our aim this time is on both our focus regions, Latin America and the Caribbean and South and South East Asia.

The countries considered for this call are those within the Caribbean, South and Central America, as well as Southern and South East Asia, according to UN definition.

We are offering support for the introduction of small-scale renewable energy technologies as well as for knowledge exchange activities.

The deadline for the submission of applications is 23 June 2017, 4 PM GMT.

What type of PROJECTS are we looking for?

This call is open to projects that demonstrate the application of sustainable energy technologies in different contexts: for example, projects might aim to meet energy needs for reliable electricity or heat supply, for food processing and conservation, or for water pumping and treatment. The target groups could be small individual farmers, agro-businesses or small companies, as well as the wider community or municipality.

According to the technical focus of our supported practitioner networks in the target regions, we would be particularly interested in projects that focus on biogas, pico or micro-hydro power and small wind technologies. We are also receptive to projects that demonstrate the application of other renewable energy technologies or hybrid approaches.

See details on criteria and SEPS project application procedure: SEPS Projects.

What type of EXCHANGE ACTIVITIES are we looking for?

The proposed SEPS Knowledge Exchanges should allow for interaction between practitioners with significant experience in the implementation of decentralised renewable energy solutions in the target region(s).

SEPS Knowledge Exchange activities should relate to one or more of the following focus areas:

  • Capacity-building South-South
  • Mutual learning
  • Practice-to-policy exchange
  • Avocacy and awareness-raising activities

See details on criteria and SEPS exchange activities application procedure: SEPS Exchange Activities.

What has been supported so far?

To date, SEPS has supported 110 projects and exchanges across the world and these are all featured on our website, illustrating the lessons learned in the field: SEPS – Project List.

The deadline for the submission of applications is 23 June 2017, 4 PM GMT.

The application forms and supporting documents must be submitted in English. Applications written in other languages will not be considered.
