The processing of maize and cassava crops in the central region of Cameroon is done by women with rudimentary tools such as mortars, stones and graters, making their productivity level very low. This project plans to create a small processing unit consisting of a multifunctional mill run by solar energy in the village of Mekomo. The main project activities are the capacity building of members in the use and maintenance of the mill, the construction of the building and the installation of the solar equipment. The Association of Dynamic Women of Mekomo (AFDYM) will be trained in the assembly and installation of the processing unit in order to serve other communities that could also benefit from this project.
