Low-cost biodigesters are more than biogas producers – they hold tremendous untapped potential for wastewater treatment. Jaime Martí Herrero reflects on a project that took him from a metropolitan slaughterhouse in Ecuador to Indigenous communities in the Amazon.
RedBioLAC: Online Course on Biogas Technologies
The e-learning module “Update on Biogas Energy” will take place between 28th August and 28th November. This online course allows the participation of anyone interested in deepening their knowledge on biogas energy and emphasises on renewable energy, regulatory frameworks, biomethane, technical requirements, business models, evaluation and financing of projects.
The course is the result of a collaboration between CIBiogas and the RedBioLAC with the aim to reach a broader community in Latin America and the Caribbean. Two courses previously offered by CIBiogas in Portuguese have been translated to Spanish and additional courses will be offered in 2018.
The registration is open to anyone interested in biogas energy. More information about the contents and course fees is available here.
The RedBioLAC network is offering scholarships which cover the course fees for 10 participants. You may apply for a scholarship here.
